• You will have to learn to chew your foods very well. You will not be able to eat meat if you do not get it broken down in your mouth.
• You will have to limit drinking and totally eliminate it while eating. Because you will not be able to eat as much as you did prior to the weight loss surgery, filling up on beverages will cause you to take in inadequate nutrition.
• You will be required to give up desserts when sugar is listed as one of the first three ingredients.
• You will have to give up carbonated drinks, high-calorie supplement drinks such as ensure etc. This will also include things like milkshakes, high fat and high fiber foods.
• No alcohol
• You will have to limit snacking between meals, which is always a good rule of thumb anyway.
