Jenny Craig Diet
Jenny Craig has been helping people lose weight for over 21 years. It is a diet that focuses on calorie counting and exercise, and it does work, at least for the short term. However, many people say that after going off the Jenny Craig foods, they gain the weight right back. This smells like a money making scheme to me. Of course, this is just my opinion. If you want to come to your own conclusions, check out the many diet reviews available online.

The basics of the Jenny Craig program include meeting with a counselor at a JC center, determining your calorie intake needs and living on Jenny Craig prepackaged meals. Of course, you do learn strategies to overcome bad habits such as overeating and stress management. In fact, that is probably the most beneficial part of the program.

The biggest problem I have with the Jenny Craig system is the expense. I just cannot justify it when you could create you own nutritional meals for a fraction of the cost. I have heard that the Jenny Craig meals are tasty, however for the cost involved, they should be the best meals I have ever tasted. On average, a person can expect to pay anywhere from $12 to $17 per day. That is a lot of dough!

From the research I have done, I have concluded that the Jenny Craig Diet is definitely not a diet that is realistic for the long-term. Sure, you will lose some weight, but keeping it off is a totally different story. The prepackaged foods that Jenny Craig sells you are designed to keep the weight off, that is why they do not encourage eating store bought foods for a very long time. This comes back to the “hype” issue where diets get you excited about losing the weight so you will go tell a million of your friends how great the diet is. By the time you come crashing down, they have already pocketed hundreds if not thousands of dollars from you. And better yet, they have a referral and start the process all over again.
